/ Florida Compliance
Florida Bar Rule 4-1.6 requires attorneys to make reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized disclosure of client information. Florida Bar Recommendation 25-1 (March 2025) urges all Florida Bar members to complete a Data Mapping Survey and Cybersecurity Maturity Assessment by March 2027, and have a formal Incident Response Plan in place by March 2028.
FIPA requires any entity handling Florida residents’ personal data to implement reasonable security measures and notify affected parties within 30 days of a breach.
